This is my 50th post and hence thought of preparing a healthy sweet. Atta Ladoo is a healthy dessert that can be made easily and quickly. It is simple recipe made with few ingredients at home but you will be amazed with its texture and taste. This ladoo is soft to handle and dissolves easily in mouth when you eat. People would not believe and would be surprised when you say its atta ladoo. Yesss !!! This healthy dessert can be offered to kids.
- Wheat flour – 1 cup
- Jaggery – 1/2 cup
- Ghee – 5 tsp
- Elachi – 3
- Chopped Nuts – 4 tsp
1.Heat a tsp of ghee in a pan and add atta to it. Roast it well till colour changes and you get nice aroma of roasted flour.
2.Powder jaggery along with elachi and keep aside.
3.When the colour of atta changes little brown, add powdered jaggery give a quick mix and switch off flame.
4.In a mixing bowl take atta, add chopped nuts and mix well.
5.Heat remaining ghee for a minute and add slowly to the mixture. Mix everything well.
6.When it is warm enough to handle, apply little ghee in hand and take small amount of mixture and roll it in round shape to make ladoos.
7.Leave it on plate to cool to room temperature. Store it in airtight container for about three weeks.
- If you are not able to bind the mixture into shape, add some more melted ghee and mix well.
