Cabbage is a wonder vegetable that stays good longer. This simple soup can be made easily with very few ingredients. This also serves best as diet soup. I have made this soup for my little girl who caught cold and wants to eat only fluids. The pepper added is a very good remedy for cold and no salt for babies below one year.
- Cabbage chopped – 1 /2 cup
- Onion chopped – 1
- Tomato chopped – 1
- Oil – 1 tsp
- Pepper powder – 1 /2 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 /4 tsp
- Salt – as required
1.Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds when they pop, add onion and roast for a minute.
2.Add tomato and saute till raw smell goes.
3.Now add cabbage, salt and pepper powder. Stir well and add two cups of water.
4.Cook covered for 5-10 minutes and serve piping hot.
