Egg omelette is one of the perfect side dishes for sambar rice. It is everyone’s favourite at home so we do this indian style omelette very often. I have prepared it adding little spices and shallots. The taste will definitely make you prepare it again and again…



  • Eggs – 4
  • Onions – 2
  • Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala Powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Curry leaves – 5
  • Corainder leaves – 2 tsp
  • Oil – 2 tsp
  • Salt – as required


1.Chop onions finely and crush curry leaves.

2.Break, add eggs to onions and beat till frothy.

3.Add remaining ingredients except oil and whisk well.

4.Heat oil in a pan and pour the egg mixture into the pan and swirl it.

5.Cook on medium flame for few minutes. Slowly flip over and cook the other side.

6.When cooked well remove it from pan and serve.



  • Tomatoes and Veggies like capsicum, carrot can be added.
  • Grate cheese at top to make it rich and makes a good combo with bread as quick breakfast.
