ELLU URUNDAI | SESAME NUTS LADOO | ENERGY BALLS | SUGAR FREE RECIPE

This sesame nuts ladoo is easy to make and will provide your family daily dose of essential nutrients. We usually do this for Ganesh Chaturthi as its Ganesh’s favourite and of course mine too. My mom prepares this as filling for kozhukattai, and  me and my brother finish half of these mixture in the form of powder. This recipe is close to me as it always reminds of my childhood. It is also a calorie watcher recipe packed with full of goodness so do you think it would have stopped with one 😀 😀

INGREDIENTS:

  • Sesame seeds – 1 cup
  • Roasted Peanuts – 1 cup
  • Mixed Nuts(cashew, Almond, Pista)  – 1/2 cup
  • Jaggery – 1 cup

METHOD:

1.Dry roast sesame seeds in a pan until it pop up and get a nice aroma of roasted seeds.

2.Add roasted Peanuts and mixed nuts to the same pan and dry roast for few minutes till it changes colour.

3.Let it come to room temperature and transfer to mixie jar.

4.Add jaggery and grind well until everything is combined together.

5.Transfer it to a bowl and make balls firmly.

6.Store in air tight container and it stays good for months if handled properly.

NOTE:

  • No need to add ghee as the oil content in sesame seeds are enough to bind balls.
  • Grinding it more will make the mixture like paste.
