Figs and cherries are packed with vitamins and minerals. The fibre content aids in digestion and can be offered to babies from 8 months. Dried fig is little hard for the baby to chew so this halwa will be a good option to feed fig for the baby. Today I prepared this dessert as a snack for my little girl and could you believe she completed it within minutes. Usually fig halwa are made using condensed milk but I haven’t used any sweetener like sugar or jaggery. I have added cherry for its natural sweetness. Hence a 100% healthy dessert.
