I have prepared lentil pancake from green gram and toor dal. This can be given to babies as finger food. Green gram is a good source of protein, vitamins and minerals. This helps to stimulate immune system. I have served this pancake with cup of fresh curd.
- Green gram – 2 tsp
- Toor dal – 2 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves – 5
- Ghee – 2 tsp
- Wheat flour – 1 tsp
- Rice flour – 2 tsp
1.Soak green gram and toor dal for 10 minutes and cook for 15 minutes with water.
2.Transfer both to mixie jar, add cumin seeds and curry leaves.
3.Grind into paste adding little water. Transfer to a bowl and add wheat flour & rice flour.
4.Mix into a batter adding required water. Heat frying pan and grease with ghee.
5.Pour one big ladle of batter carefully. Do not spread. Cook covered for 2 minutes in low flame.
6.Turn into other side carefully and leave for a minute.
- Salt and green chilli can be added when serving for adults
- Chutney will make a good combo for this lentil pancake.
