INGREDIENTS:

  • Milk – 2 cups
  • Sugar – 4 tbsp
  • Saffron – 1/2 tsp
  • Sabja seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Crushed Pistachios – 3 tbsp
  • Falooda sev – 1/8 cup
  • Pista / Any flavored ice cream – few scoops
  • Tutti fruity – for garnishing
  • Glazed cherries – for garnishing

METHOD:

1. Soak sabja seeds adding enough water for 15 minutes. Once it expands and increases in quantity, drain from water and keep aside.

2. Cook falooda sev in water for a minute. Once it turns soft, drain from water and keep aside.

3. Boil milk and once it starts boiling, simmer the flame and add crushed pistachios, sugar and saffron to it.

4. Stir well and boil until the milk thickens a little. Remove from flame and allow it to cool. Refrigerate it for 15 minutes.

5. To assemble falooda, take a tall serving glass. Add a tbsp of soaked sabja seeds followed by 2 tbsp of cooked falooda sev and pour cooled saffron pista milk until 3/4th of the glass.

6. Add a large scoop of ice cream on top and garnish with tutti fruity and glazed cherries.

7. The delicious saffron pista falooda is ready. Serve chilled and enjoy.

  1. Hi, I stay in the US.. I am not sure whether I will get falooda sev here in Indian stores.. what be the alternative to that? I want to try the recipe
