Ragi is easily digestible and healthy millet. This ragi dosa can be prepared instantly without fermentation of batter. This is very good breakfast option for your quick day. I have used store bought ragi flour for preparing the batter and added dry fruits powder for making it more nutritious. I usually prepare ragi dosa by adding wheat flour and rice flour to ragi but this quick dosa is prepared only with the ragi flour. I got this recipe from vegrecipesofindia and tried it. I prepared dosa immediately and didn’t give resting time of 30 minutes to the batter as mentioned.
- Ragi flour – 1 cup
- Coconut grated – 1/2 cup
- Curd – 1/2 cup
- Dry fruits powder – 3 tsp (optional)
- Oil / ghee – for drizzling
1.In a mixing bowl, take all the ingredients except oil and mix everything together adding required water.
2.The consistency should be slightly thin than the regular dosa batter.
3.Heat pan, pour the batter using laddle and spread it. Drizzle oil and let it cook for a minute.
4.Gently flip the other side and allow it to cook until it becomes brown.
5.Serve ragi dosa with chutney and sambar.
- You can leave the batter covered for 30 minutes before preparing dosa.
- Chopped onion, green chilli can be added to make it spicer.
