This rava uthappam can be prepared quickly as it doesnt need time for fermentation. The rava uthapam is soft and little crispy outside. This can be prepared when you dont have dosa batter and in idea of preparing tiffin. This goes well with coconut or tomato chutney.
- Rava – 1 /2 cup
- Carrot grated – 1/4 cup
- Water – 1 /2 cup
- Lemon juice – 3 tsp
- Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
- Salt – as required
- Oil – as required
1. Mix rava and water and let it keep soaked for 30-60 minutes. After soaked add grated carrot, lemon juice, baking soda, salt and mix well.
2. Heat a pan, drizzle oil and pour laddle full of batter into the pan. Spread it gently and drizzle some oil on sides and top.
3. Cook for minute. Flip the other side gently and cook until it changes slight colour.
4. Serve with any chutney of your choice.
