SAKKARAVALLI KILANGU ROAST | SWEET POTATO STIR FRY

IMG_3618

Sakkarvalli kilangu is my most favourite potato and I like to eat it simply by boiling. I use to give sweet potato often to my baby as finger food, making cutlets or halwa. This time tried simple fry with sweet potato and it became very big hit at home. This will not be very sweet but little sweet and spicy. This fry became our favourite side dish from now 🙂 :-).

  • Sambar powder – 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds – 1 /2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1 /2 tsp

METHOD:

1.Wash well and pressure cook sweet potato with required water until it becomes soft.

2.Peel the skin of sweet potato, trim the edges and cut into small pieces.

NOTE:

  • The potato may be sticky, add little extra pull while roasting.
  • If you add salt when boiling sweet potato then adjust it while preparing fry.
